Was just searching round the internet Looking at different styles of Film posters in the hope of finding influences in which to take into my project, and I came around this site which included some great examples of Polish film posters which were all perfect for taking inspiration from into developing my title sequence.
The above image is the film poster for the film War Game. What I really like from this poster is the simplicity and the striking bold colours which are used really well and I really like the use of colours, and you can tell the influence Saul Bass had on the artist from the feel of the silhouette which is used. I really like how oversized the finger is and how tiny in compared the world is which is a great contrast which has been used brilliantly as it expresses that we are kind of the superior race and that the world is a bystander as we as a race are creating conflict within it. I also like a potential idea of having the briefcase a much bigger size in comparing to the agent to give a much bigger impact that the briefcase plays a bigger role within the story which is an idea I have gathered from viewing this poster.
This is a film poster for the film Missing, what I really like about this poster is the use of media the artist has used and I really like the kinda of messy but bold and striking technique the artist has gone for which is really effective, something i have considered taking into my project and experimenting with. I also like the kind of mysterious impact which has been created as the viewers or not sure as to what the image is of,whether it be good or bad, and the use of imagery goes well with the title of film.
Film poster for Enter the dragon, I really like the 3 colour effect used and the layout of the poster and the use of the red which covers the mouth area, I think thats a great effect used well which I can experiment within my title sequence and believe it would work well with a graphic novel inspired title sequence.
This is possible my favourite image I found from all my research and has a splitting image to the agent in my title sequence. It is taken from the film Apocalypse now. I love the ink and smudge effect and the use of colours and the way its been drawn over and worked into. Would love to experiment with this kind of style but i am slightly worried that it may contrast with the style of silhouettes and could become 2 contrasting styles which don't compliment each other well however thats what experimentation is about and shall explore this route and decide upon which direction to take it.
